Developed by Master Builder Paul Waller, Fender® Custom Shop Troposphere™ Stratocaster® pickups are underwound, allowing more headroom with overdriven sounds and clean up for the most delicate tones to emerge.  Troposphere™ pickups feature '50s-style formvar wire on the bridge pickup, a reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup, and '60s-style enamel wire on the neck pickup.

Features:
  • Alnico 5 magnets add more focus and enhanced dynamics
  • Formvar magnet wire on bridge and middle, plain enamel wire on neck
  • Staggered polepieces balance volume and output across every string
  • Reverse-wound middle pickup to eliminate hum in positions 2 and 4
  • Wax potted to resist feedback and protect internal wiring
  • Period-correct cloth wire and fiber bobbin construction
  • Installation hardware included
